Migraineurs are one sexy bunch. We are.

Oh sure, there’s the old joke, “Not tonight dear–I have a headache.” And there is a type of migraine called coital cephalgia that comes after sex. But migraineurs have now been shown to have a 20% higher sex drive than non-migraineurs. We could have told you that. But we were probably otherwise occupied.

Women migraineurs have the sex drive of a normal man. Male migraineurs, who make up only 20% of the migraineur population, have a 20% higher sex drive than normal men. Men migraineurs, you have my sympathy and I’d like to meet you. Just kidding. Or am I?

There have been studies to determine whether orgasm helps migraine or makes it worse. The data is mixed. So far only women have been studied.

* 47.4% had complete relief
* 48.5% had no relief, and for
* 4.1%, orgasm made their migraine worse

I feel so bad for the 4.1% whose migraine was made worse by orgasm!

I’m what used to be called a sad sack. I’m divorced but not annulled. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. What to do?

I can’t morally indulge my 20% increase since in the eyes of the Church I’m still married to a man I haven’t seen in more than 10 years and have been divorced from for 16 years. I can’t get married again either. So what to do?
